My Little Helper

This morning as I was taking the towels out of the dryer, Eden was helping me. I asked her to take the basket of towels into the living room and she pushed the basket in there. I folded the washcloths. When I had finished, Eden grabbed a few of them. I asked her to take them to the bathroom. Ila Beth opened the door. Eden took the washcloths and threw them in the bathroom. Then she came back for the hand towels. She threw them in also.

Thank you Eden. Who knew a 14 month old could be so much help.

Grey's Haircut

I cut my nephew Grey's hair last Friday. Grey is 19 months old. He did a great job. I sat him on the island and gave him a sucker. Well, he had three before it was over. He is so handsome!

It's Cubbie Time!!!

Awana has started back up at our church for the year. My friend Cassie and I are doing the snacks for the Cubbies. We got together and made A, C, and Cross sugar cookies. We let our kids cut out the cookies and decorate them. They had a great time. I think they liked eating the sugar sprinkles the most.

Our Little, I mean Big Ila Beth!

Tonight we went to Goobertown, that is where Wayne's family lives. Several guys and gals get together and shoot skeet every Tuesday night. We dropped off Wayne and Justice and I let Ila Beth drive (in my lap) across the pasture to Wayne's grandmother's house. Our conversation:

Mom: Ila Beth turn. Good Job! Now straighten up. Very Good! Ila Beth you are doing an awesome job.

Ila Beth: Do you think I am ready for a car?

Mom: I don't think so, not just yet. You are only 4.

Ila Beth: Maybe when I am 10?

You just have to know Ila Beth. She is 41/2 and thinks and acts like she is 15. If you say anything about her being 4, she will let you know she is a BIG 4.

Room Changing

Today we started getting ready for the new baby and a special surprise, Ashley. She is going to live with us her last year of collage. I got up this morning and started in Ila Beth's old room, which is now Eden's new room. I had to paint the walls and celling. Ashley was here to help. When Wayne got home, from Men's Prayer Breakfast, we went to Trumann to pick up Justice from a friends house. We then went and bought Justice and Ila Beth bunk beds for their new room. Their new room is Eden's old room. I had to finish painting Eden's room and get it cleaned up to move her furniture and things into. Then I got Justice and Ila Beth's room ready for their new bunk beds. Wayne is now putting them together. I hope it works out well, Justice and Ila Beth sharing a room. They will share until Eden is big enough to share with Ila Beth. Ashley will be taking Justice's old room for now. We still have more room changing around to do.

Justice's Birthday Week!!!

This was a crazy week. Justice turned 6 on Wednesday, July 23. On Monday, me and the kids went to MaMa and PaPa's house the make the "Omnitrix Cake". Tuesday, I kept my nephew Grey and the kids had a sleepover with their cousins Macy and Tori. They camped out in the tent in Justice's bedroom. The kids did not go to bed until 11:00, and I had to wait until they were asleep to bake another cake, a cookie cake, for the day of Justice's birthday. Also, wrap all of his presents.
Wednesday, Justice got up, had his cake and opened his presents. We got ready and went to Shogun's, his favorite place, for lunch. That night after church, I had to bake another cake for Eden's one year pictures. I was up late again.
Thursday, Eden had her pictures taken. Pictures usually stress me out, so I was really dreading them, but everything went well. I did not have time to stress.
Friday, I had to get everything ready for Justice's swim party. I had Lyndsay, our babysitter, coming over that night. Wayne and I got to go out and eat and do some last minute shopping for Saturday.
Saturday was a VERY busy day. We had Justice's Party, my nephew Zack's Party, and our Sunday School Class Party. Thankfully my mom and dad took Eden home with them. We got everything together and headed to the pool. Another thing that stress me out, Birthday Parties (for my kids). All went well, it was HOT!!! Justice had his friend Gabe Smith come home to spend the night. We made it to the other parties just fine. Then we had to go pick Eden up after our SS party. Another late night.
I did make it through this week, but I got sick. Now it is time for VBS, another busy week.

Canning Time!!

Everyone has given us tomatoes, and Wayne is the only person in our family that eats fresh tomatoes, so I needed to do something with them. I have always wanted to know how to can, and today Wayne's grandmother "Nanny" came over and taught me how.

Nanny and Ila Beth peeling the tomatoes.

Ila Beth is such a big help. She peeled every one of the tomatoes.

Justice had to peel a couple.

Eden played with the jar lids.

Here is the finished product. Beautiful jars of canned tomatoes.

Thank you Nanny for showing and helping me can tomatoes.
