The Making of Justice's Birthday Cake

I can't believe Justice will be turning 6 tomorrow. Time has gone so fast since we planned his first birthday cake. Justice has had a cake made by his MaMa every year, except last year.
When asking Justice what kind of cake he wanted this year, he said "An Omnitrex Cake". For those of you who do not know what an Omnitrex is, it is off of the cartoon Ben 10. Ben 10 is about a little boy who has this watch thing attached to his arm. In the Omnitrex, there are aliens. He can turn the dial on the Omnitrex and turn into any alien to save the day. It is a typical boy cartoon.
Anyway, I thought I would go to one of the stores and have them make the cake, but guess what? There is no Omnitrex cake to be found, or that I found. So MaMa and I figured, we can make this Omnitrex cake. And we did. Justice was so excited to see the finished cake.

Here is the finished Omnitrex cake.

Eden's Favorite B-Day Gift!!

After reading the Happy Birthday, Eden story to Ila Beth, she pointed out to me that I had made a mistake. She got very upset with me when I said Eden's favorite gift for her birthday was the ride on car. Ila Beth informed me her favorite gift was the baby doll that she had given her.
Ila Beth is very thoughtful. She received this baby doll as a Christmas gift. It was one of her favorite baby dolls. When it came time to decide what we should get Eden for her birthday, Ila Beth had to get her a gift just from her. Eden just loves baby dolls, so Ila Beth went into her bedroom and picked out the best one to give her little sister. She even wrapped it up all by herself. I must say the gift Eden plays with the most is the baby doll from her big sister, Ila Beth.

Ila Beth thank you for being a GREAT Big Sister!!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Eden Belle

It is hard to believe that our little Eden Belle is 1 now. She is a very loving baby, a lot like her brother. Although, she is a little spoiled, Justice and Ila Beth give her what ever she wants.

Eden turned 1 on Friday, June 13. (We are not superstitious!) We had her a family party. She had a great time. Her favorite gift was the biggest one, a ride on car. (Hint: Don't let your child open the biggest gift first, or they will not be interested in the others. I should know that by now.) She just looked adorable. My friend Amy Barrett made her shirt for me, and did a great job. I made the tutu to match. She just pranced around all night.

She is our little Princess!!

First Day of School

Ila Beth working on her numbers!

Justice working on his math!

Today was are first day of homeschooling. It went very well. This morning was beautiful, so we had school outside at the picnic table. We stayed on schedule and the kids had fun. Although, Justice didn't want to complete his writing work, so he has homework already.

School Starts Tomorrow...

We are starting school tomorrow. Why so early? We hope to have the first half of school over by December. So we can get ready for the new baby. Justice and Ila Beth are watching a movie and having a fun day.

Thank you God

Justice and the Lizard

Justice and I were sitting outside playing and he saw a lizard. A big lizard. Justice wanted to catch it, so we called daddy and asked him how to catch the lizard. The lizard had crawled into the tubing on our carport. Daddy told us to get the water hose and put it on one end and flush it out the other end. So mommy not liking lizards was brave and we did what daddy told us to do. Mommy got the water hose on one end and Justice got on the other end with a tote ready to catch the lizard. I turned on the hose and we waited. It wasn't long, the lizard came out into the tote. Justice told me that he will always be proud of me and that he loves me. That just melts my heart. We tried to let the lizard go, but it came right back to the tote.

The End
